Our October ministry partner spotlight is on CFAC. You might not be familiar with the acronym yet, but CFAC is an organization that First Pres has supported for several years now, only you might remember them as CAC.
For over 20 years, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County (CAC) has set out to empower children to find their voice. Through the years, CAC has found their own voice, the pieces that make their approach unique and impactful to our community. They recognize to put the child first means serving the whole family. They have recently announced that the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County is now the Children & Family Advocacy Center.
The organization continues to address hardships, fears, and truths through advocacy, forensic interviewing, counseling, and medical care with those affected by child maltreatment. Two decades later, they have expanded to include long-term residential programming and restorative services for women and their children experiencing trauma.
The expansion in services was made possible by the recent merger of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County and Restoration Village to form one team, one mission, one voice: The Children & Family Advocacy Center, setting out to break the cycle of abuse and build resilient families.
In the month of October, please pray for CFAC as they work to break the cycle of abuse and build resilient families right here in Northwest Arkansas.
