Our mission as a church is to glorify God by participating with Him in the transformation of our lives, the community of believers, and our world.
One of the ways we do this is by supporting organizations and individuals who support our local community or who spread the Gospel throughout the world.
Ability Tree was founded in 2010 by missionaries, Joe and Jen Butler, who made it their mission to come alongside families impacted by disability to provide R.E.S.T.
When Joe and Jen’s son, Micah, was diagnosed with multiple disabilities, they realized the overwhelming need for support of families who are impacted by disability. Driven to make community possible and make Jesus accessible across the U.S., Ability Tree was planted.
The Children & Family Advocacy Center is located on 70 acres in Little Flock, Arkansas where over 30 years ago David and Beverly Engle first took roots for their work to restore lives impacted by trauma. Under the direction of Executive Director Natalie Tibbs the organization has grown to focus on both acute and restorative trauma services.
The acute services offered at the Main Center focus on children experiencing suspected child abuse in Benton County. Our team of dedicated advocates, interviewers, nurses, and mental health counselors work to provide a holistic approach to healing.
CFAC’s restorative services encompass long-term housing for women, and their children, in the midst of crisis. Beyond shelter we offer ongoing case management, mental health counseling, and group sessions to help break the cycle of abuse.
The mission of DLC is to provide free instruction in speaking, reading and writing in English to adults who wish to learn English or improve their literacy skills. In 2015, Northwest Arkansas residents united to respond to the global refugee crisis. Finding limited local avenues for resettlement support and motivated by the absence of an active agency in the area, they embarked on a mission to welcome refugees, driven by the belief that their inclusion would enrich and strengthen the community.
This collective effort led to the creation of Canopy, which officially became a refugee resettlement site in October 2016, after partnering with Global Refuge. By December of the same year, Canopy welcomed its first refugee family to NWA.
“At Canopy, we are doing everything we can to put support systems in place to ensure that refugees, immigrants, and people with additional vulnerabilities can navigate the challenging process of resettlement with as little stress as possible”
