From November 30, 2025 Sermon – Luke 1:5-23 – First Sunday of Advent (Hope)

1) How does doubt show up in your life?  Consider the kinds of circumstances where you see it demonstrated most.  Consider also how you tend to display it most frequently.

2) Why is it important to distinguish between the Lord’s discipline and punishment, and what is the difference?  What are some examples of times the Lord led you through seasons of discipline?

3) The sermon mentioned that sometimes our desires for ourselves are smaller than God’s desires for us.  Reflect on the relationship between our doubts and our mis-sized desires.  Why is it so important that our desires be reshaped?

4) How can we walk with one another so that this Advent season serves to shape our desires and encourage us in our doubts?
