03 Feb A Word From…
Facilities
I have recently received a ton of help getting caught up on some lingering projects around the building. We are very blessed to have a pool of skilled and capable people who want to serve our congregation in this way. So I just want to take a minute to thank them.
First, I’m so grateful to Samuel Bollman, who often asks me how he can be useful. He recently replaced two door closers for us (the pantry door and the downstairs women’s bathroom door) so they no longer slam!
Brock Erdman has brought his team out twice in the last few weeks to work on a wide variety of projects. They built a stage platform in the gym, replaced some thermostats with programmable ones, adjusted the gym door so it opens all the way, painted the new classroom downstairs, installed doorstops on the downstairs exterior doors, hung the offering box on the wall, made a shelf in a closet, and patched a hole in the floor of the balcony. And possibly something else that I forgot! So a huge thank you to Brock and his team, Caleb, Brock, and Ritchie.
And thanks, as always, to Bear Klenda, who keeps our worship services sounding as good as they do. He recently updated our mixing board to make it easier to record sermons, and to better accommodate all the different instruments that we’ve been using in worship lately.
I’m so grateful for these people and for all of you who also care deeply about the physical space that our church has been blessed with.
