1) The sermon pointed out that some of our joylessness is the result of seeking lesser “salvations” that can only fail us. How have you seen this pattern in your life?
2) What makes Jesus the kind of king we need? What does he do that only he can, and where have you seen his good rule in your life?
3) The sermon pointed out that one comfort from God being judge is that we can always trust him to judge justly. He isn’t “flaky” and won’t change his mind because of a sudden “bad mood.” That means that when we have been forgiven of our sin through Christ, we don’t have to worry that God will change his mind. Have your sins been forgiven by God? If so, how can you remind yourself of that this week? If not, what prevents you from receiving forgiveness from God through Jesus?
4) What would “promenading” look like for you? Pick an expression of joy that you don’t normally consider and try it this week.
